Geological Constraints on the Genesis of Jagpura Au-Cu Deposit NW India: Implications from Magnetite-Apatite Mineral Chemistry, Fluid Inclusion and Sulfur Isotope Study

The Jagpura Au-Cu deposit is situated within the Aravalli craton in northwestern part of India. In present work, petrography, mineral chemistry, fluid inclusion and sulfur isotopic compositions were used to study deposit. ore association arsenopyrite, loellingite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite pyrite, along with native gold, magnetite apatite. gold fineness ranges from 914–937‰ (avg. 927‰). presence Au-Bi-Te phases, pyrite (>1 Co/Ni ratio), (≥1 Ni/Cr ratio, <1 ratio) apatite F/Cl suggest hydrothermal origin mineralization. A indicates different episodes immiscibility homogenization temperatures varying between 120–258 °C salinities range 8.86–28.15 wt% NaCl eq. composition sulfides varies 8.98 14.58‰ 11.16‰). It inferred that variation due cooling dilution metalliferous mixed origin, derived basement meta-sedimentary rocks high saline basinal fluid. iron oxide-copper-gold-apatite associations, structural control mineralization, pervasive alteration, salinity isotope indicate similar oxide-copper-gold (IOCG)-iron oxide-apatite (IOA)types deposits. Based on geochemistry trace elements systematic magnetite, further classified as an IOCG-IOA type: IOCG-Co (reduced) subtype.
